The British Geotechnical Association is aiming to raise the profile of the new generation of geotechnical engineers with the launch of a new award.
Winner of the BGA’s first prize for the best MSc dissertation on a geotechnical topic will win £500 prize money.
The competition is open to student members of the BGA who are completing an MSc at a British university during 2011. There is a limit of one entry per university and submissions need to be via the course coordinator rather than the student and should be made by 14 October 2011.
Full rules and entry procedure may be found at www.britishgeotech.org.uk under prizes.
