Celtic buys mini piler

After successful use of a McDrill Mc80B with rotary head from Skelair for mini-piling work on the A399 at Shutscombe Wood in north Devon, Celtic Rock Services has bought the rig for future schemes. Celtic Rock Services managing director Alwyn Thomas says: “We were already in the market for a new machine as we needed greater flexibility to respond to changing client demands.

“The Mc80B is a powerful and sturdy machine and, although we have bought equipment from Skelair before, this is the first time we have invested in McDrill and it was a bonus to be able to hire it for a specific job before committing to purchase.”

The McDrill Mc80B brings the total number of machines operated by Celtic Rock to eight, creating a flexible and mobile fleet.
