Machine control specialist Moba has announced the launch of a new compaction control system for earthworks that offers a “a simple and economical solution”.
The MCA-500 was unveiled at the Plantworx exhibition and shows compaction progress is shown in real-time on the in-cab display.
According to Moba, the system enables the operator to see all the important information during the compaction process, the vibration frequency, the amplitude and jump, so that over- and under-compaction is avoided.
“The MCA-500 is the construction industry’s first entry system in ‘Intelligent compaction’,” explained Moba managing director Ian Lewis. Lewis added that the system has been developed in response to customer demand to improve productivity and quality with lower investment costs.
