Itmsoil and Plowman Craven announce monitoring partnership

Geotechnical instrumentation specialist Itmsoil and surveying business Plowman Craven have announced that they have formed a strategic partnership.

The companies have said that the partnership, which will trade under the name of IPC Monitoring, brings together integrated expertise and deliver value engineered monitoring services for the construction industry.

“Both companies recognised there are inefficiencies in the way monitoring services are procured and implemented in relation to resourcing, technical application, design and delivery,” said IPC business development manager Chris Emery. “The decision to create a formalised alliance came as a result of looking at ways that we can deliver and provide a more efficient and cost effective service for our clients.”

IPC has said that it hopes to become involved in discussions about monitoring requirements at a much earlier stage than is currently the case, enabling the creation of tailored, fit for purpose monitoring schemes. The companies have said that through use of Itmsoil’s instrumentation and data visualisation capabilities, IPC Monitoring will be able to provide a bespoke system which wholly meets the requirements of the site, rather than one which is constrained by available products. IPC also claims that are also benefits resulting from simplifying the operational process as there will not be tiers of contractors or supply chain layers, reducing the likelihood of risks to the programme.

IPC has said that its business will focus on construction sites in the London area where constrained environments require specific experience and expertise to deliver integrated, trusted and precise monitoring solutions.
