A €1.47M (£1.31M) geotechnical contract has been awarded for the new third metro line in Toulouse.
Local firm Ginger CEBTP has won the contract for the core drilling for the new third line of the Toulouse Metro.
According to papers published in the Official Journal of the European Union, the contract includes pressuremeter soundings, digging with the mechanical shovel, piezometer testing, as well as the laboratory tests.
In addition there will be work around pavement characterisation and asbestos identification.
When completed the Toulouse Aerospace Express, a 27km long line with 20 stations, will connect the Colomiers railway station near the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport on the west through the city centre before ending at Labège in the southeastern suburb of Toulouse.
