A9 ground investigations set to commence

Transport Scotland has announced that ground investigations for the A9 Dualling programme will start on 24 August.

The detailed ground investigation works will take place over approximately four months on a number of locations on the southern section between Birnam and Glen Garry.

Last month it was revealed that Fugro Seacore had been selected as the preferred bidder for ground investigation work on the Birnam to Glen Garry section of the A9 dual carriageway upgrade scheme.

Ground investigation work is also currently taking place on the A9 between Dalnaspidal and Kincraig and is expected to be completed around the end of October.
