Aarsleff Ground Engineering has appointed Jody Parkin as operations director.
With over 17 years’ experience in all piling and geotechnical techniques, Parkin has been responsible for moving Aarsleff’s piling department forward since joining as piling manager in early 2017.
Previously, Parkin worked for Cementation Skanska where he was operations manager on several major Crossrail contracts including Royal Oak Portal, Farringdon WTH and Bond Street. Parkin was also responsible for delivering the foundation solution to the target building of European Spallation Source in Lund, Sweden.
Parkin said: “I feel privileged and over the moon to have been given the position of operations director. I look forward to getting involved in the role and further supporting the development of Aarsleff’s UK operations.”
In his new role, Parkin will be responsible for the global operations in the UK, including plant operations, along with reinforcing Aarsleff’s business strategy.
Commenting on Parkin’s appointment, Aarsleff managing director Kevin Hague said: “Jody has been a key driving force in Aarsleff’s piling department in the past year, and with his experience and knowledge we hope he will be able to continue to bring that initiative thinking and experience into Aarsleff’s growing operations”.
