Aces Jeddah wins Saudi reservoir ground investigation

Aces Jeddah has been awarded the geotechnical investigation works for the Strategic Water Tank Project in Makkah and Taif in Saudi Arabia.

The project involves the construction of 17 strategic reservoirs, eight in Makkah and nine in Taif, with an approximate capacity of 170000m³, at a height of 20m and 106m diameter.

Aces will be drilling 148 boreholes with total drilling depth 3,800m, installing of piezometers, performing soil resistivity tests as well as 200 plate load tests and routine laboratory testing on soil and rock samples, geophysical survey including cross-hole seismic logging and multi-channel analysis waves.

The client is Saline Water Conversion Corporation.
