Arcadis and BG&E win Sydney Harbour tunnel work

sydney harbour bridge night

Arcadis has announced that it has secured a lead design role with partner BG&E for the tunnel and station excavation works on the second stage of the Sydney Metro.

The consultants will work together with contracting joint venture John Holland CPB Ghella, which was awarded the AUS$2.81bn (£1.7bn) construction contract for the scheme in June.

The Arcadis and BG&E joint venture will provide civil and structural design for the 15.5km long twin tunnels which will run from Chatwood through the central business district, under Sydney Harbour and on to Sydenham. The scheme includes construction of six new underground stations.
