Geotechnical firm Aspin has appointed a new chairman in management team overhaul.
First reported in GE’s sister publication Construction News, Costain’s former director of rail Gren Edwards has been appointed to lead Aspin.
The appointment comes with other changes to the company’s management team including the recruitment Iain Sale as its chief financial officer.
Earlier this year Aspin was saved from collapse by a buyout by US equity private equity investor Sandton Capital Partners, after it was owed £800,000 by Carillion.
In a letter sent to suppliers and seen by Construction News, Sale wrote: “There is now a team in place with considerable turnaround experience and it is a team who can grow the business substantially.”
Other changes include former Skanska commercial director Paul Oyekanmi has now been recruited as Aspin’s commercial head and Scott Harrison in now group development director.
Last week GE reported that Aspin was introducing 60-day payment term for suppliers.
