Construction materials testing business CET has announced that it has acquired Construction Testing Solutions in a deal valued at £3M
CET has said that CTS’s Doncaster-based laboratories undertake a wide range of materials, soils and aggregate testing which mirror CET’s specialisms and expand the company’s capacity in the UK.
According to CET, the acquisition strengthens its business which currently includes lab facilities in the south east, Midlands and Scotland, as well as mobile labs offering a range of geotechnical and environmental services.
The deal is part of CET’s focus on acquisitive and organic growth following backing of the group by private equity investor Dunedin which has helped CET increase revenues by 75% in the last three years.
“Increasingly we are working with customers who operate nationally, and a strong foothold in the north will be instrumental in providing a seamless service to these clients – as well as supporting the growth we expect in the region as a result of government investment,” said CET CEO Bob Blunden. “We will be working closely with CTS’s management team to integrate our teams, share knowledge and best practice, and upskill our joint workforce.”
