Chalk conference attracts wide interest

Current opportunities are promoted on the news section of the BGA website but the organisations plans to develop a dedicated area of the website for this information in due course.

Potential applications should contact the universities directly.

Supervisors with project opportunities can contact the BGA to feature their project.

Engineering in Chalk is a major two-day international conference organised by the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) with support from the Engineering Group of the Geological Society (Eggs), and will be held on 17 and 18 September 2018 at Imperial College in London.

The call for abstracts has now closed, and the organising committee of the conference is pleased to report that more than 120 abstracts have been received, covering diverse aspects of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology.

The abstracts are now being reviewed and the successful authors were notified during July.

Details of sponsorship and exhibition packages are now available on the conference website at www.chalk2018.org
