Mike Streetly has been appointed as innovation director with ESI Consulting

Hydrogeologist Streetly moves to the role from his position of water group director within ESI.

“Streetly’s appointment a real statement of intent to continue to grow our expertise and deliver great value for our clients in an exciting range of sectors,” said ESI managing director Jon Cooke. “Importantly it is also about investing in the sustainable management of our natural resources in the face of a changing climate, population movements and demand.”

Streetly said: “I am looking forward to building on what we have achieved over the last 20 years, particularly our strong track record in innovation. We have a great team, with a fantastic focus on technical delivery and quality. I want to now focus some of that strength and enthusiasm so that we can continue to support our clients with the problems that they will face in the future.

“The intersection of climate change with regulatory reforms in the UK, such as changes to the abstraction system, will be particularly important. There are many exciting opportunities for us to play a pivotal role in key transport and infrastructure projects across the UK driven by the National Infrastructure Plan. I will of course continue to lead the technical delivery of some of our key projects and will retain a very hands on approach.”
