The jackets, along with piles for the scheme, are being fabricated by Lamprell at yards in Jebel Ali, Hamriyah and Sharjah.

The heavy lifting and transportation specialist will transport 60 foundation jackets for the new 714MW wind farm in the North Sea from a fabrication yard in UAE.

The jackets, along with piles for the scheme, are being fabricated by Lamprell at yards in Jebel Ali, Hamriyah and Sharjah.

Work on shore has also started with construction of a substation at Bramford in Suffolk. The scheme will also include 37km of horizontal directional drilling work from 20 locations in order to connect the new wind farm via underground tunnels rather than overhead cables.
