Fugro wins offshore contract in Equatorial Guinea

Fugro has been awarded a contract to provide survey services for the development of large-scale assets and infrastructure offshore Equatorial Guinea.

The survey programme will be undertaken at the Fortuna Project, west of Bioko Island, where oil and gas exploration company Ophir Energy is planning a large FLNG installation and associated subsea structures.

As part of the contract, Fugro will deploy three of its specialist vessels – Fugro Searcher, Fugro Scout and Fugro Frontier – to perform autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) surveys as well as geotechnical, environmental and metocean surveys.

Commencing this month, the offshore operations are scheduled for completion in January 2016.
