Gallagher set to drive Abu Dhabi wastewater scheme

Joseph Gallagher has launched its Iseki microtunnelling machine on the largest trenchless project it has ever undertaken in Abu Dhabi.

Working for main contractor Mechanical and Civil Engineering Contractors Company, the project involves driving 25km of tunnel on the scheme for client Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC).

The new wastewater tunnel is part of ADSSC’s commitment to recycling all of its wastewater by the end of this year for agricultural, forestry and golf course irrigation.

Gallagher will install the pipeline at depths varying from 5m to 30m below ground.
