Gavin and Doherty acquisition expands presence in south east

Geotechnical engineering consultancy Gavin and Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) has announced that it has acquired south east England-based Applied Geotechnical Engineering (AGE).

According to GDG, the buyout is part of a strategic plan to expand its business and strengthen its position in the UK, especially in the London market.

“The acquisition is another step towards realising our ambition of building a consultancy to provide the highest level geotechnical services throughout the UK, Ireland and further afield,” said GDG managing director Paul Doherty.

GDG has said that AGE’s staff bring a wealth of experience to the business. In a statement. GDG said: “Through this acquisition, long-established AGE clients will now benefit from access to the wider

resource pool at GDG, which comprises a team of highly-skilled engineering staff that can assist in providing an enhanced service.”
