GE Awards entry deadline extension announced

Ground Engineering has announced that the deadline for entering the 2019 GE Awards has been extended by two weeks to 25 January.

According to GE editor Claire Smith, a number of entrants had called for further time in order to enter multiple categories.

“With 18 enterable categories this year, many firms are entering more than one category and called for more time to complete the entry process,” said Smith. “Submitting an entry is straightforward so, with the deadline extension, there is still time for companies to start new entries.”

The categories for the 2019 event cover every aspect of the ground engineering industry from ground investigation and project innovation through to technical excellence and completed projects and also celebrates company-wide achievements and success of rising stars within the sector. New categories for this year include the Community Engagement Award and Specialist Geotechnical Supplier of the Year.

“The community engagement elements of the project and business categories has been removed to allow these entries to focus on technical achievements and allow entrants to shine a light on the work they undertake in the community,” said Smith.

Full details and criteria categories can be found at www.geawards.com and any entry could be picked by Smith as winner of the Editor’s Award.

The shortlisted entrants will be announced in February and the successful candidates will then be invited to present their entry in front of the judging panels between 1 and 5 April at GE’s office in London.

Winners will be revealed at a gala event in the evening on 5 June at the Hilton on Park Lane in London.
