GE Awards raises £3.5k for children’s charity

Generous donations by guests at last week’s GE Awards at the Hilton Park Lane raised £3,500 for Great Ormond Street through the prize raffle.

Hamish Simpson of Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical won the afternoon tea for two which was donated by the Hilton Park Lane.

GE editor Claire Smith said she was delighted with the response to the appeal. “I’d like to thank everyone for digging deep to support GE’s publisher Emap in its bid to help Great Ormond Street Hospital by raising £95,000 this year to fund a new isolation room as part of the hospital’s £20M upgrade to its oldest buildings to create additional space to allow more children to be treated,” she commented.
