Slope stabilisation manufacturer Geobrugg has gained CE marking for its Tecco mesh systems and believes it is the first natural hazard mitigation system to gain this standard.
Geobrugg chief technical engineer Armin Roduner said: “On one hand, the CE marking, offers designers, contractors and owners a good benchmark for performance parameters for tender documentation. On the other hand, it also offers the highest degree of legal and performance certainty for their investment as far as the performance parameters stated by the manufacturer are concerned. At the end of the day, we want to stand in front of the customer, knowing that we specified the best of the best at the time.”
The company has said that, in simple terms, CE marking confirms the performance of a product and added that the designation is not easily attained for special solutions, such as stabilisation and protection systems engineered to mitigate natural hazards.
