Hamburg Port Authority has started a pre-qualification process to find a long-term provider of geotechnical engineering services.
According to the documents published in the Official Journal of the European Union, the port has not set a time period for the contract length but has said it is to continue indefinitely.
The successful bidder will work with the port authority to support restructuring of the port infrastructure with a particular focus on port buildings. The geotechnical work is expected to include coordination roles, ground investigation, interpretive reporting and foundation design, as well as planning and supervision of geotechnical work.
Hamburg Port Authority has said that the work on site may begin shortly after the contract is awarded.
