Infrastructure provider calls for framework contractors

Northern Ireland-based public transport infrastructure provider Translink has issued a call for bids from contractors to work on its 2016 framework.

Translink has issued the tender documents through the Official Journal of the European Union and interested parties have until 18 January 2016 to respond.

Successful framework contractors will provide civil engineering works to support the Translink Infrastructure. The work will include construction and remediation of earthworks, cuttings, rock cuttings, sea and river defences, retaining structures, placement of rock armouring, sheet piling, rock netting and rock bolting.

Translink has said that the various packages of work may be procured under a traditional approach or using a design and build option including novation of designers.
