John Wolosick announced as Deep Foundations Institute president

The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) has elected Hayward Baker director John Wolosick as the organisation’s new president.

Wolosick, who replaces immediate past president Robert Bittner, has more than 35 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction, specialising in slope stabilisation, excavation support, soil nailing, micropile foundations and all types of grouting.

In his current role as director of engineering for Hayward Baker’s Atlanta office, Wolosick is responsible for engineering design and business development support for the company’s offices across the US.

Currently, Wolosick serves as a member of the ASCE Earth Retaining Structures Committee. He is a former vice president and trustee of the DFI, co-chair of the ADSC/DFI Mircopile Committee (2004-2007) and chair of the ASCE/Geo-Institute of Georgia Geotechnical Committee (2003-2005).
