Keller has announced that Alain Michaelis will take on the role of chief executive with effect from the close of the company’s annual general meeting on 14 May.
Former Rolls-Royce group operations director Michaelis will take over from Justin Atkinson who had previously announced his intention to retire from the company by the end of 2015.
Michaelis started his career as a mechanical engineer with Arup and has also held senior leadership roles with building materials supplier Wolseley and automotive supplier Tenneco.
“Michaelis is a highly experienced senior executive who brings considerable understanding of the complex multinational environment in which Keller operates,” said Keller chairman Roy Franklin.
Speaking about his appointment, Michaelis said: “Keller has a great history and is well positioned for the future. I am very much looking forward to working with the teams around the world and am honoured to lead the next phase of Keller’s development.”
