Heavy rain in Argyll has sparked landslip fears on the A83 Rest and Be Thankful road.
Road management company Bear Scotland issued a warning and revealed a geotechnical engineer had been deployed to monitor the situation overnight.
Speaking to Press and Journal, a spokesman for Bear Scotland said: “Monitoring at the A83 Rest and Be Thankful has highlighted dirty water flowing from the hillside which is causing some concern. In line with the agreed A83 Rest and Be Thankful response plan this has triggered Level 3 height of readiness.
“The situation will be reviewed again at first light.
“Operational teams are on standby should any issue arise through the night and throughout the period of forecast inclement weather.”
