Mark Cutler takes up the helm at Van Elle

Van Elle has announced that Mark Cutler has officially taken up his new post as chief executive officer at the firm, replacing Steve Prendergast who temporarily took on the role for three months after Jon Fenton’s exit from the business.

Cutler joins the business, which recently reported a record 10.4% jump in turnover to £103.9M, from Balfour Beatty where he was managing director of its UK regional construction and engineering businesses.

According to Van Elle, Cutler has over 30 years’ experience of senior management roles within the construction industry and has worked for Tarmac/Carillion, Morgan Est and Barhale Construction.

Commenting on his new role, Cutler said: “Van Elle is a very successful business and I am delighted to be leading the next stage of our development.”
