Geotechnical engineer Mike Putnam has been appointed by Tideway to join its board as a non-executive director.
Putnam stepped down from his role as president and CEO of Skanska in November last year, where he also previously held the role of deputy chairman of Cementation Skanska.
Since leaving Skanska, Putnam has taken on a number of advisory roles and is also a supervisory board member with Arcadis and a non-executive director of Network Rail and Southern Water.
Commenting on the appointment, Tideway chairman Sir Neville Simms said: “Mike is a highly experienced leader with a broad-base of knowledge from the construction, engineering and utility sectors. Mike’s involvement with some of the most significant infrastructure projects ever delivered in the UK will be invaluable as we deliver the next critical phase of the Tideway project. I am delighted to be welcoming him to the board.”
