Peab has been contracted to build Vattenfall’s largest land-based wind farm in Sweden.
The SEK430M (£36.7M) project includes the foundations for 84 turbines at two sites in Blakliden and Fäbodberget in Åsele and Lycksele.
Peab regional manager Jörgen Eriksson said: “Being an active part in improving the environment is important to us. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 35MW, which is enough renewable energy to provide 220,000 Swedish homes with household electricity.”
The project also includes 67 km of new road and 55 km of cable shafts and cable support.
It is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
