Per Aarselff adjusts full year expectation upwards despite geotechnical decline

Per Aarsleff, which owns UK-based Aarsleff Ground Engineering, has said that it has revised upwards its full year expectations from DKK450M (£53.8M) to DKK470M (£56.2M).

The better than expected forecast comes as the business prepares its interim report for the third quarter in its 2017/18 financial year.

The company has reported that the gains come from improvements in its construction business with EBIT margins increased from 3.5% to 4%. However, this gain is offset by a decline in Per Aarsleff’s ground engineering segment where EBIT expectations have declined from 5% to 4% but no details on the regional influences or drivers for this fall have been announced.

The full results for the third quarter are expected to be published on 28 August.
