Piling growth boosts Keltbray results

Growth in Keltbray’s demolition and civil engineering business and Keltbray Piling helped to boost turnover of the group’s Specialist Contracting Division last year to reoced a 15% rise in turnover at £311M.

According to Keltbray, the growth in the piling, demolition and civil engineering businesses was driven by work on three major residential contracts.

The 2017 financial performance of the division was announced as part of the results for the overall Keltbray Group that show a 13% rise in revenue to £48.1M for the year to 31 October 2017.

Despite the rise in revenues, the company reported that operating profit margin dropped to 5.6%, compared to 6.6% in the previous year, due to tightening trading conditions and the company’s continued investment in new technology.
