Lincolnshire County Council has said that the £2.4M project to stabilise slopes and improve drainage on the A17 are on schedule to be completed by the end of April.

Work started on site to repair the failing embankment in December last year.

The council has said that over the last two months Aarsleff has installed steel sheet piles to to both sides of the A153 underbridge and the A17 bridge over the railway to stabilise the existing embankment. Work on site has also included road surfacing and preparation work for the drainage installation phase.

Further steel sheet piling is planned over the next few months, along with installation of the new drainage system near the River Slea and Old River Slea.
