Transport Scotland has said that Bam Ritchies will start work on £3M of additional ground investigation work for the A9 on 26 September.

The work is expected to take 10 weeks to complete and will mostly be carried out away from the existing carriageway.

“This further ground investigation work is needed to get important information on the existing ground conditions in the vicinity of the A9 carriageway between Crubenmore and Kincraig as we progress our plans to dual this nearly 16km stretch of the road,” said a spokesman for Transport Scotland.
