Sea wall collapse closes Devon road

Devon County Council has announced shuttle bus services are to be put in place in south Devon as closure of the A379 looks set to continue following collapse of a sea wall last week.

The Torcross sea wall, which protects the coastal route between Slapton and Beasands, collapsed at high tide on Friday 12 February.

DCC had hoped repairs could be carried out quickly to allow the route to reopen but these have yet to be completed and no date has been set for the road to reopen.
