Judges for the GE Awards have completed their first stage of deliberation to reveal the shortlist for the 2019 event.
A record number of entries were received and a total of 140 entries have gone through to the live judging stage, which will take place between 1 and 5 April.
“The calibre of entries this year was outstanding,” said GE editor Claire Smith. “Both the Rising Star and Technical Excellence categories proved popular, so getting onto the shortlist for those was challenging this year and the quality of entries will make the live judging stage critical in deciding on the winner.
“The number and quality of entries in the Ground Investigation Project of the Year category meant we needed to split the category in two, based on contract value, to ensure all the top entries could be shortlisted. Our new Community Engagement Award and Geotechnical Supplier of the Year categories have been well-received too.”
