Singapore Circle Line tunnel contract awarded

Singapore’s Land Transport Authority has awarded the contract for Prince Edward Station on Circle Line 6 and the associated tunnels to the China Railway Tunnel Group (CRTG).

Under the deal, CRTG will construct the three level below ground station and twin bored tunnels to link the station with Cantonment Station.

CTRG is currently working on a number of other projects for the LTA and has recently constructed an underpass for the Havelock Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line using Singapore’s first rectangular tunnel boring machine.

Work on the SNG$310M (£173M) Circle Line 6 project is expected to start later this year and be completed by 2025.
