Soil Engineering has been awarded the contract to undertake ground consolidation in the Blackband Ironstone at Jordanhill Park development in Glasgow.
The £1.2M contract, awarded by Cala Homes (West) comprises of 3,200 boreholes and 140,000m of drilling. The works are programmed to be completed in 20 weeks, using up to six rotary percussive drilling rigs.
Over the course of the project Soil Engineering will manage the injection of almost 10,000t of grout.
The site, formerly occupied by the University of Strathclyde’s Jordanhill Teacher Training Centre, will be developed to provide around 400 homes, across a 12.5ha site in the grounds of the historic David Stow Building.
Soil Engineering was awarded two consecutive sections of the A9 dualling ground investigation late last year.
