Soletanche expands business in Mexico

Soletanche Freyssinet has announced that it has bought out the shares it did not already own in Mexico-based foundations business Grupo Rodio Kronsa to take full control of the business.

Rodio Kronsa, previously jointly owned by Soletanche and Mexican partner ICA, hold all Soletanche Bachy operations in central America, the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco.

Soletanche’s parent company Vinci has said that the acquisition is part of Soletanche Freyssinet’s international expansion strategy that aims to increase its share of revenue generated outside of Europe.

Rodio Kronsa is expected to generate a turnover of €100M (£700M) in 2015.
