Sweco has announced that it had bought out the operations of Haskoning DHV in Belgium, which specialises in soil investigations and decontamination, environmental impact assessments and integrated area development.
Sweco has said that the acquisition will strengthen its business in Belgium.
Sweco CEO and president Tomas Carlsson said: “Sweco has a very solid base in Belgium. We have an efficient organisation and are continuously growing. The experts from Haskoning DHV Belgium are a perfect match for our multidisciplinary teams, which ensures a smooth continuation for current projects.”
Haskoning DHV Belgium, which operates from Mechelen and Namur, offers services within soil investigations and decontamination, environmental impact assessments and integrated area development. The company’s 36 staff will transfer to Sweco on 2 January 2018.
