Sykes adds fuel efficiency to new pump launch

Pump hire specialist Sykes Pumps has added a new fuel efficient diesel pump to its range which it says is an ideal solution for the construction and civil engineering markets.

The GP80 eco, which replaces the GP80 model, features a silenced engine offering tier 4 compliance for discreet deployment in residential and noise-sensitive areas and a 35litres fuel tank for 24 hour operation.

Capable of heads of up to 24m and a maximum flow rate of 36 litres/second, the new pump compares favourably with other 75mm (3inch) pumps on the market and provides a solids handling capability of 40mm.

According to Sykes, the pump has been designed for easy deployment on site with a built in fuel tank and quick release coupling to speed up installation.

“This pump is small in terms of size but big in terms of performance, offering high flow rates and discharge pressures for installations where hose runs are required,” said Sykes Pumps sales director Chris Graham.

“Fast and easy to install, cheap to run and offering a robust solution for a wide range of environments, it is a natural step up from our popular entry level Minivac eco and an ideal choice for sites where fuel efficiency, flow rates and noise control are critical.”
