Thomas Bauer to step down as Bauer chairman

Bauer has announced that the chairman of its management board Thomas Bauer is to step down from the role after 32 years leading the business.

Bauer has said that the role will be filled by an external appointment and someone has been selected but cannot yet be named due to their current role.

No date has yet been set for Bauer to leave the role but it is likely that he will move to chair the supervisory board and take up a role that Klaus Reinhardt is set to step down from this year.

According to Bauer, the switch management board to the supervisory board would allow Bauer to shape and accompany the transition process in the management of the family-owned company.
