Transport Scotland announces trio of geotechnical framework partners

Aecom, Jacobs and WSP have been appointed to Transport Scotland’s geotechnical certification services framework beating off tenders from two other unnamed bidders.

Under the framework, valued at £600,000, the consultants will undertake certification of ground investigations, geotechnical design and other geotechnical activities related to the Scottish Trunk Road network.

According to the contract award, the consultants may also be called on to undertake other geotechnical-related services periodically, including similar services related to railway and other transport infrastructure.

The framework is expected to run for four years.
