Van Oord wins £92M Taiwan dredging deal

Taiwan International Ports Corporation has appointed Van Oord to undertake a €130M (£92M) dredging contract at the Port of Kaohsiung.

The work involves dredging and reclamation of 37M.m3 of sand for the Kaohsiung Intercontinental Container Centre Phase II at the Port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan.

Van Oord has said that it has already started preparations for the work and expects to complete the scheme by January 2018.
