Foundation equipment rental specialist Watson and Hillhouse has announced that it has made a significant investment in new piling equipment.
The company has said that its rental fleet has now been expanded to include two new crane suspended vibratory hammers, three still workers and two hydraulic drop hammers.
According to Watson and Hillhouse, there has been a rise in demand for mid-range vibratory hammers and has added the PVE 20VM to its fleet, along with the larger PVE 82M, to meet this demand. Both hammers are already in use on marine projects.
Other additions to the fleet include a BSP SL30da double acting drop hammer and a BSP CX 5-7-9 drop hammer that can be configured with a 5t, 7t or 9t drop weight for installation of sheet piles and bearing piles. The three Kowan Still Worker noise and vibration free pressing machines – one WP-150 and two ZU-100s - will be available for rental from April onwards.
