Welsh Water has launched the tender process for provision of reservoir panel engineers for its sites over the next three years.
According to the contract documents published in the Official Journal of the European Union, the framework is worth up to £5.3M over the three year period and could be split between seven providers.
Work on the framework is set to run from 1 April 2019 until 31 March 2022 but could be extended for up to four years by 12 months at a time.
Successful bidders will provide Welsh Water with suitably qualified and experienced panel engineers to undertake inspections and supervisory visits, providing documents to include statements, reports and certificates, as required under the Reservoirs Act 1975. The work will involve flood, structural and stability studies, dam breach modelling and consequence assessments through use of site visits, desktop assessments and other studies.
The framework will also provide Welsh Water with cost estimates and programmes for schemes, providing schedules and plans, as well as provide site support and site supervision as required during construction stages for schemes at reservoir sites
Bids for the work must be submitted by 25 February.
