Soil stabilisation starts at Keadby wind farm site

McArdle has started work on soil stabilisation for more than 20km of new roads to provide access for the construction of a new wind farm at Keadby in Lincolnshire.

Under the contract for main contractor Balfour Beatty, McArdle will use its specialist integrated soil stabilisation equipment to construct access roads for the development and also working platforms for the turbine erection.

The new 34-turbine wind farm, being developed for SSE Renewables, will deliver 68MW of power when it is completed. The first turbines are expected to be delivered to the site in summer next year.
