Technical paper: Performance of a reinforced earth structure at Granton

Introduction

Between December 1972 and May 1973, a reinforced earth retaining wall was built for Edinburgh Corporation as aprt fo the A901 road improvement at Granton, to the north of the city.

This paper considers how the construction method affects performance of the structure both during and post-construction.
