Work starts on Bridlington water upgrade

Construction joint venture Morgan Sindall Grontmij is set to start work on Yorkshire Water’s £22M upgrade of water treatment facilities at Bridlington.

The £22M scheme will include two new combined sewer overflow chambers and an 800 metre long, 2m diameter, storm water tunnel, as well as a new storm water pumping station.

The joint venture will be working from four construction sites across the town. The project, which is part of AMP 5, is set to be completed in April 2014.
